Centred around mythological themes of renewal and resurrection, Daniel Bulatkin’s new group “Elysium” performs original music at the cutting edge of today’s contemporary jazz. With inspiration drawn from a very eclectic pool of sources (musical and non-musical alike), Daniel brings forth a very personal story of growing into adulthood as a young emerging artist in today’s day and age – reflecting on current events, as well as the ups and downs of his own life.

Building upon the concept of his previous group B/Y Organism, Daniel expands the sound palette of the acoustic quartet by using light synthesizers, rhodes and samples, truly bringing his music into the 21st century. Following three very successful co-leader album releases, this project will be recorded in 2025 in multiple countries for Bulatkin’s debut as a full-on leader.
